Grundtvig projects were of great benefit to learners, teachers, and trainers from different organizations. Over the years, the programme has funded a number of activities and practices oriented toward adult learning. Grundvit’s work has significantly impacted the number of employed people and has helped myriads of individuals to acquire various skills to help in many aspects of their lives. In the next paragraphs, we will talk about four of the most significant projects of this programme.
Let’s Do It Creatively … For The Benefit of Adult Learners
One of the Lifelong Learning Programme’s biggest goals was to promote learning that’s not boring. That’s why the project called Let’s Do It Creatively … For The Benefit of Adult Learners has gained so much popularity and positive feedback. This particular project is more suitable for teachers rather than learners. The reason being is that its aim is to present different creative approaches when it comes to learning.
In it, different practicioners shared their ideas on how adults can have more fun while learning. We live in times where it’s quite easy to experiment with the tools given to us, such as interactive boards, other types of technology, and, of course, books. The project developed over a course of two years and tons of crucial and helpful information was exchanged.
Let’s Do It Creatively and Environmentally with Renewable Energy CERE
Another interesting project that should be mentioned is Let’s Do It Creatively and Environmentally with Renewable Energy CERE. Here, the Grundvig principle, namely Learning is for Living, was applied in the best possible way. The objective of this project was to deliver further knowledge about renewable energy. For this purpose, the Framework of Enjoyable Learning Approaches was used by the partners involved in the project. These were:

- EducaciĆ³n de personas adultas (Spain)
- Joanna Pinewood Education (United Kingdom)
The project included a number of local activities as well as several international workshops. Let’s Do It Creatively and Environmentally with Renewable Energy aimed to help people with financial difficulties, different learning needs, and older adult learners to learn more about sustainable energy, eco-friendly lifestyle, and energy efficiency.
According to the organizers, the main objective of learning about renewable energy was not only for the learners but also for the teachers. The adult learners were expected to engage more in different practices thanks to this project. The teachers, in turn, were encouraged to support the students and facilitate their learning process by providing them with fascinating information in an innovative way.
Lifelong Learning Programme Adult Literacy: Grundtvig Adult Literacy from Creating Joyful Learning Experience into Active Citizenship
Third on our list is the Lifelong Learning Programme Adult Literacy: Grundtvig Adult Literacy from Creating a Joyful Learning Experience into Active Citizenship. This project was implemented in 2015 and aimed to share experiences and different practices to help adult learners become more competent in different areas. The project was mainly conducted to help disadvantaged groups of people improve their knowledge by promoting literacy among adults.
Some of the activities included in this project were voluntary activities between the different groups of people, the development of a training kit that’s both creative and highly functional, and the promotion of communication and active citizenship. The goal of this project was to help participants build self-confidence and courage through intercultural work. Outdoor activities, webinars, and eLearning were some of the educational methods used for this project.
JoyAR: Joyful Adult Training Using Augmented Reality
Last but not least, we will talk about JoyAR: Joyful Adult Training Using Augmented Reality. This project, similar to Let’s Do It Creatively and Environmentally with Renewable Energy, focused on the environment. Learners were presented with factual information about fossil fuel emissions. Students had access to easy-to-understand presentations by Joanna Pinewood Education and gained a lot of knowledge in the relevant field.
Using illustrations and statistics, practitioners attempted to provide factual data about the carbon emissions in various cities across the United States. The project comprised different practices, including e-learning. All of this made it much more simple for learners to realize the risks associated with pollution. This particular project was considered an excellent choice not only for adults but also for younger individuals.
